The District Court Compensation Jurisdiction and the Personal Injury Commission are jointly hosting a Ceremonial Sitting on Wednesday 1 July 2026 to commemorate the centenary of the commencement of the Workers Compensation Act 1926.

The Ceremonial Sitting will bring together members of the judiciary, legal profession and other stakeholders to recognise the history, evolution and enduring importance of the workers compensation scheme and the institutions responsible for administering workers compensation disputes.

The livestream link is now available for those wishing to watch the event online as we mark 100 years since the commencement of the Workers Compensation Act 1926 in NSW.
